Townfield Primary School

We are a fully extended school – TEDS being Townfield Extended Day Scheme – educating children from the ages of two to eleven years for fifty weeks of the year, only closing over the Christmas period being open 7.45am to 6pm.

In a demography of falling roles, we are proud that we are over subscribed, a reflection on our hard working, dedicated staff who go that extra mile to support developing the whole child to become life long learners. This we achieve through stimulating, creative lessons which are active and interactive engaging and motivating for our children, as well as a plethora of after school clubs, plus willingness from many of the staff, to give up personal time and support our programme of overnight educational visits – even to Russia!

Hence our motto – ‘Teamwork Prepares for Success’. Without such teamwork our school would not be the exciting place it is today.

Our school mascot is Townfield Ted! He attends all assemblies; sport matches and visits classrooms to remind the children of the code of conduct when necessary! Every half term our children receive report cards. If they gain all A’s for their effort, behaviour and achievement then they are awarded with a Townfield Ted badge which they wear with pride.

We will provide a stimulating and creative curriculum meeting the learning styles, emotional needs and creating a culture of achievement for all. We will provide an environment that is stimulating in appearance and creates a feeling of belonging and pride.
